2014 HCMC Expo held in Myanmar

An opening ceremony of the 2014 Vietnam -Myanmar Trade, Service, Tourism Fair (Ho Chi Minh City Expo) took place at Tatmadaw Hall in Yangon City, Myanmar on June 26.

Ho Chi Minh City Expo was held with a large-scale, aiming to introduce 115 booths from leading enterprises of Ho Chi Minh City like Saigon cosmetics, Vissan food processing, Dien Quang Lamp, Dai Dong Tien Corporation- Experts in Manufacturing and Exporting Plastic and Gia Dinh textile.

The fair is also good chance to promote 20 Vietnamese food booths to the Myanmar people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of HCMC People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hong said that the 3rd of 5 day event held by HCMC in Myanmar proves the determination and strong commitment of the city leaders and Vietnamese enterprises in promoting cooperation between Yangon and Ho Chi Minh City.

On the same day, a seminar on Vietnam - Myanmar investment, trade, and tourism promotion also took place in Myanmar.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Pham Thanh Dung, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam in Myanmar, Vice Chairwoman of HCMC People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hong and Mr. U Mint Shwe, the Chief Minister of Yangon City.
