The Vietnamese leader expressed his pleasure for smooth security and defense cooperation relations between Vietnam and Laos in previous years. The president desired that the two nations’ police officers continue further collaborating in protection of national security, social order and safety.
 
President Tran Dai Quang appreciated results of a conference on cooperation between the Vietnamese and Lao ministries of public security and suggested that the two functional agencies need to maintain mutual contact and information exchange.
 
Besides that, the two sides need to closely collaborate in struggling cross-border crimes, economic crimes, illegal transportation of narcotics and drug-related crimes, the President added.
