On the morning of June 29, a special flight carrying search and rescue personnel and humanitarian relief teams from the Ministry of National Defence and the Ministry of Public Security, together with vehicles, equipment, and relief supplies, departed from Noi Bai International Airport for Venezuela to support post-earthquake relief efforts.
Flight VN66 is carrying 124 personnel, 10 search-and-rescue dogs, and 25 tons of relief supplies and equipment. After landing at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in France, the flight will continue to Simón Bolívar International Airport in Caracas, Venezuela, where it is scheduled to arrive at 12:10 p.m. local time the same day.
To ensure the timely transport of the delegation, in addition to its ground support teams, Vietnam Airlines deployed a crew of 23, including six pilots, 10 flight attendants, three engineers, one operations specialist, and three ground service staff. The national carrier also expedited logistical preparations and completed flight clearance procedures within a short timeframe.
According to Vietnam Airlines, assigning aircraft and operational resources to this special mission may affect its regular flight schedule on several routes in the coming days, including adjustments to departure times or changes in aircraft type.
