For years, more and more Korean travelers arrived in Vietnam; for instance, in 2015, one million Korean tourists flocked to the country and the number of tourists in Vietnam reached 2.4 million in 2017.
In first three months of 2018, Vietnam received 900,000 Korean holiday-makers. Accordingly, South Korea is becoming one of Vietnam’s major market.
However, Mr. Keum Gi Hyung said in an effort to ensure tour quality, Vietnamese authorities need to take heed on traffic safety, professional tourist guide training, and control agents which offer cheap tours.

Additionally, Korea will organize roadshow for Vietnam to help connect the two countries in a bid to beef up tourism facilitating Vietnamese travelers in Korea.
Tourism leaders in the two countries expected to have more meetings to solve barriers between the two sides in order to increase tourists.
In the framework of Vietnam International Travel Fair 2018, Busan’s Tourism Promotion Department and the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam also signed contracts with Vietnamese tourism agents to attract more tourists between countries.
