Police were present at Minh’s home at No. K25/10 Ly Thuong Kiet Street in Hai Chau District at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Meanwhile the raid was implemented at Chien’s home at No.2 Ba Dinh Street in Hai Chau district at 9.20 a.m. on the same day.
Earlier Tran Van Minh, born in 1955 , former Chairman of the Danang People’s Committee in 2006-2011 was arrested and taken into custody on April 17 , over the charges of “violating regulations on state asset management and use, causing losses and wastefulness” under Article 219 and “violating State regulations on land management” under Article 229 of the 2015 Penal Code.
The investigation police agency yesterday also issued a decision for Van Huu Chien, born in 1954 , Chairman of the Da Nang municipal People’s Committee from 2011 to 2014, to be banned from leaving his residence for the same charges as Tran Van Minh.
