The statement of increased unscheduled inspection was made by deputy inspector Le Vu Tuan Anh at the Ministry’s annual press meeting on April 12.
Mr. Anh added that the Ministry will allocate 30 percent of spending on unplanned inspection on violations that were informed by residents or released on newspapers.
Accordingly, inspectors will carry out unplanned visits to river violations in Bac Hung Hai and Duy Tien canals. Inspectors will pay visits without informed before to some places in the northern provinces of Bac Ninh, Hanoi, Hung Yen, Ha Nam and Nam Dinh where violations are rampant.
Mr. Tuan Anh proposed media providing more information of violating factories to related agencies so that inspectors will conduct visits to violating firms and issue punishment on them if these violations are serious.
Upon inspection task in 2018, the Ministry said it will liaise with the related agencies in the northern provinces of Bac Kan, Bac Ninh, the central province of Quang Nam and the Mekong delta province of Ca Mau about responsibilities of environment and natural resource management.
In the field of land management, inspectors will supervise land use and management of 19 industrial parks, groups of industrial parks and economic zones in provinces of Thai Nguyen, Can Tho, Dong Nai , Bac Ninh, Binh Dinh and HCMC.
Additionally, inspectors will visit factories such as weaving, dying, plating which cause high pollution and operation and discharge of water reservoirs as per regulation set by the Prime Minister,
