They are Vicostone Joint Stock Company, Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2, and Vietnam Mining and Construction Joint Stock Company.
This year’s Forbes editors drew on databases of 23,800 stock-traded firms in the Asia-Pacific, then winnowed 1,400 firms with revenues between 5 million USD and 1 billion USD in three consecutive years, and audited by Big 4 accounting firms of Deloitte, PwC, E&Y, and KPMG.
The majority of the short-list 200 firms were companies from Japan and China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan).
Among the three Vietnamese businesses in the TOP 200, Vicostone JSC has the most impressive growth in revenue and benefit in recent years. Last year, the firm earned $4.35 trillion ($186.78 million ), up 35.5 percent from 2016. Its after-tax revenue in 2015 was over VND404 billion ($17.3 million ). The figure rose 67 percent to VND676 billion ($29 million ) in 2016 while escalating to more than VND1.12 trillion ($48 million ) in 2017.
This year, the firm targets VND5.29 trillion ($227.1 million ) in revenue, and VND1.35 trillion ($57.9 million ) in profit.
