Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong held a meeting with Swiss Ambassador Beatrice Maser Mallor on March 23.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong stressed at the reception: "Cooperation relations between Vietnam and Switzerland in various fields have been more and more promoted in the previous times; especially, when the two countries are going to celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relationship establishment.”
Currently, Switzerland is a key’s European partner of Vietnam and the fourth biggest European investors in Ho Chi Minh City, and becomes leading foreign donators for the city's project on green traffic development with US$ 10, 5 million.
The city's chairman said: "With strong financial, banking and tourism sector, both Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City hoped the businessmen of Switzerland will continue to strengthen cooperation and investment in all fields in the upcoming time to contribute to consolidate Vietnam and Switzerland relation".
