State President Truong Tan Sang had a meeting with 85 outstanding labor union members at the Presidential Palace on July 28, marking the 85th anniversary of Vietnam Labor Union (28 July 1929 and 28 July 2014).
At the meeting, President Truong Tan Sang affirmed that the Party and States are so interested in development of workers and labor unions.
On the same day, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor hosted a television program under title ‘Glory of Vietnam Labor Union’ at three places, including Vietnam-Soviet Union Culture Friendship Palace in Hanoi, Saigon Port in Ho Chi Minh City and Cam Pha Square in Quang Ninh.
The program was attended by Deputy President Nguyen Thi Doan, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan and representatives of local agencies.
