Speaker of Myanmar's Upper House visits Vietnam



A high-ranking delegation from the Myanmar National Assembly led by Speaker of the Upper House of Myanmar Parliament Mahn Win Khaing Than visited Vietnam yesterday at an invitation of Vietnamese National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

The Vietnamese National Assembly Chairperson had a talking with the Speaker of Myanmar’s Upper House.
The Vietnamese leader stressed that an official visit to Myanmar by Vietnamese NA delegation on the occasion of participation in ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) last year and the visit to Vietnam by Myanmar NA delegation on the occasion of participation in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) conference affirmed the friendly cooperation and relationship between the two nations in general and the countries’ national assemblies in particular. 
At the talk, the leaders agreed to create mutual cooperative conditions on laws and policies, contributed to pay more and more supports to the investors and business of the two sides.

Vietnam suggested both sides to early sign cooperation agreements in  fields of customs, banking, aviation, telecommunication, agriculture and finance; supplement agreement on encouragement & promotion of investments and memorandum of understanding about the bilateral investment promotion.
The two sides agreed to continue the exchange of the countries’ NA delegations. 
Earlier, the Myanmar delegation paid a wreath and visited the mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh, President Ho Chi Minh relic site behind the Presidential Palace in Hanoi.
On the same day, General Secretary of Party Committee of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc respectively had meetings with the Speaker of Myanmar’s Upper House.
