The People’s Committee of Chau Thanh district in the Mekong delta province of Ben Tre and the province’s Technology-Science Association inaugurated the Huu Phuoc Bridge yesterday at Phuoc Thanh commune.
This is rural bridge connecting Phuoc Thanh commune with Huu Dinh Commune.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee and Vo Thanh Hao, Ben Tre Secretary of Party Committee attended the inauguration ceremony.
The bridge has 39.7m long, and 3.5 wide with capacity of 8 tons. Total investment capital is VND 1.5 billion funded by Saigon Transportation Machemical Corporation (Samco).
The bridge was completed after four months of construction and put into service starting August 19.
Mr.Nguyen Thanh Phong called for sponsors to build the bridge and two gratitude houses for poor families in Chau Thanh, contributing for the province’s paying of gratitude program on this occasion.
