A coach derailed in Huong Thuy town of the province at noon on the day while cargo train 1242 was on it way from Hue to the neighboring city of Da Nang.

Rescuers used specialized tools for separating the derailed coach from the train and traffic was back to normal by 4 p.m.

Many cargo and passenger trains moving on the same route at that time had to stop at Hue and Truoi stations to wait for the incident’ repair.

Some passengers returned their tickets to travel by other means of transports.
