President Ho Chi Minh (1890-1969) was the founder of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He laid the foundation for the Vietnamese revolution’s victory in the 20th century with the establishment of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1945.
The delegation then offered incense and flowers at the Truong Bon national historical site in Do Luong district to commemorate martyrs who died for national independence.
Between 1964 -1968, the US dropped nearly 20,000 bombs on Truong Bon road, a key route for North Vietnam to supply goods to the South at the time. During the period, more than 1,500 people fought to protect the route.
