National Young Fine Arts Festival 2017 kicked off

The National Young Fine Arts Festival 2017 has been kicked off throughout the country by the Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The contest opens for young Vietnamese artists  between the ages of 18 and 35 who may submit maximum 2 artworks to the organization board.

Art works include paintings, graphic works, sculptures, installations, body art and video-art pieces which have been created from 2014 to June, 2017 presenting various topics and reflecting contemporary life.

Entries can be sent to the Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition Department at No.38 Cao Ba Quat Street in Hanoi’s Ba Dinh District from July 10-13.

The organization board will present three first prizes, six second prizes, 9 third prizes and 9 encouragement prizes.

The triennial festival, launched for the first time in 2007, aims to encourage the young artists’ creativity and diversification of materials, and honor artworks reflecting contemporary life through their lenses, contributing in the development of Vietnamese contemporary fine arts.
