The race is on to find the young beauty who will be crowned Miss Viet Nam Jewelry 2007. Organized by the Viet Nam Gemstones, Jewelry and Art Craft Association, and the magazine Jewelry & Art Craft Fashion, the competition honors women who can bring out the best in a locally crafted piece of jewelry.
Entries with photographs of the contestants and the jewelry designs are being accepted until September 12.
Their number will be whittled down to 30 for the final at the National Convention Center in Ha Noi on October 19.
Miss Viet Nam Jewelry 2007 will receive VND75 million in cash, a crown valued at VND15 million and a trip abroad.
For the first runner-up the prize is VND50 million plus a foreign trip, and for the second runner-up VND30 million and a trip abroad. There are also consolation prizes totaling VND7 million.
For the jewelry designers, the top prize is the “Golden Hand” and VND45 million in cash and a trip abroad, for the “Silver Hand” VND30 million and a foreign trip, and for the “Bronze Hand” VND15 million and a trip abroad. Here too there are consolation prizes totaling VND7 million.
Their wining designs will be auctioned to raise money for the poor.
