Long An inspects progress of HCMC Ring Road No.3 project

A working delegation from Long An Province on February 12 conducted a field inspection on the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project, the section passing through the neighboring province of Long An.

Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Duoc led the delegation to inspect the construction progress of this section and several other key projects in the province.

As reported by the People’s Committee of Ben Luc District, the Mekong Delta province of Long An, most projects have met the original schedules.

Specifically, the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project through Long An Province is progressing as planned. It is expected that the section will be completed by October 2025 and the entire project will be done by 2026.

During the inspection, Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Duoc emphasized that Party Committees at all levels and authorities always have a consistent view of accompanying investors.

The Long An provincial government pledges to provide maximum assistance and promptly resolve any obstacles, especially those related to land, administrative procedures, regulatory mechanisms and works of compensation and site clearance.

The Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee has directed that departments, agencies and localities must work closely together, decisively; provide guidance in detail and implement projects with the high determination and spirit of great efforts.

He emphasized the need to resolve bottlenecks related to regulations and administrative procedures to expedite project progress and ensure completion on time.

The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road No.3 project has a total length of 76.34 kilometers passing through Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Long An with a total investment capital of more than VND75 trillion (US$2.9 billion).

The project commenced in June 2023 and is expected to be completed by September 2026.

Of which, the section through Long An Province began construction on June 30, 2023, stretching 6.8 kilometers. Its starting point is at the border of Ho Chi Minh City and Long An Province, while the end point is at the intersection between Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway and Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong Expressway passing through Ben Luc District.

The project has a total investment of VND4,208 billion (US$165 million), including VND3,040 billion (US$119 million) for construction and VND1,168 billion (US$45.8 million) for site clearance, support and resettlement.

Currently, construction progress has exceeded 52 percent of completion, meeting the planned schedule and the requirements by the Prime Minister.
