American cinematographer Mathew J. Siegel, who worked on such Hollywood hits as “Mr & Mrs Smith,” “The Matrix 2,” and “Master and Commander,” spoke to Vietnamese filmmakers about making high-quality digital films in Ho Chi Minh City on August 19.

He spoke at length about using a high-definition camera with P2 memory to shoot films.
For countries that cannot afford to splash money on filmmaking, the P2 HD Varicam camera is a good option for getting quality equivalent to celluloid films, he said.
He will also organize a two-day course on filmmaking in the city on August 20 and 21.
