HCMC Youth Union honors six outstanding young citizens 2014

Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union held a ceremony at Youth Cultural House in HCMC yesterday in order to praise six among 91 outstanding young citizens, who are working and studying in the various fields in Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, the six outstanding citizens, who are workers, students and armed forces, with their great achievements in fields of education, technology, culture and arts, armed forces and social work.

In addition to select the best profiles, the organizational board also held voting round through social networking sites, Tuoi Tre news website, website of HCMC Youth Union and messages via directory assistance 8783.

The ceremony was attended by Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Le Thanh Hai, Deputy Standing Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Vo Van Thuong, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam, Deputy Chairman of HCMC People's CommitteeTat Thanh Cang, Secretary of the HCMC Youth Union Le Quoc Phong, Head of the Department of Propaganda and Training of the HCMC Party Committee Than Thi Thu, Head of the HCMC Party Committee's Public Relations Nguyen Van Ranh.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of city leaders, Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Le Thanh Hai congratulated and praised the outstanding individuals, and hoped that the young people will continue to prove one’s ability in working and studying progress. 

Here is a list of six outstanding youth people:

1. Prof. Tran Huu Loc, a lecture of Nong Lam University (University of Agricultural Engineering)

2. Le Yen Thanh, a student from Ho Chi Minh City University of Science

3.Ta Thuy Chi, Deputy Head of the Management Board of the Experimental Theatre under the Ho Chi Minh City Dance School

4. Nguyen The Tien, a police is working at the Ho Chi Minh City Police

5. Tran Quoc Tuyen from Thien Huong Company

6. Le Thi Thanh Van, a staff from HCMC Charitable Centre of Training and Offering Job for the Handicapped.
