HCMC spends US$30,149 on summer volunteer campaign competition

The Communist Youth Union in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday said that it allocated VND700 million ($30.149) for a competition on summer volunteer campaign at a launch ceremony.

All Vietnamese students in local and abroad universities are entitled to send entries on the government’s new rural plan, civilized urban building, environment protection to cope with climate change, safety traffic, social security, culture – education and lifestyle to the organizer.
Total value of the competition is VND700 million ($30,149). First prize winner will grasp cash of VND5 million and additional sum of VND200 million to implement their plan.
Second and third prize winners will receive VND100 million and VND50 million respectively to carry out the plan.
Yearly, thousands of Vietnamese youths take part in the summer volunteer campaigns which aim to promote the important role of youth in contributing to the city’s cultural, social and economic development.
