HCMC education sector calls for supporting mountainous areas

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training and the sector’s Labor Union have jointly launched a campaign to support mountainous and disadvantageous districts of other provinces in the academic year 2018-2019.

With the aim to build three public houses for teaching staffs who come from other provinces to work in mountainous and distant provinces including Son La, Gia Lai, Nghe An, the city education sector encouraged teachers and managers in all schools from preschools to universities to give contributions to the campaign to share burden with their peers.
Additionally, all of the students were also encouraged to send their pocket-money to support the students in these areas. This campaign lasts until May 31, 2019.
The HCMC Department of Education and Training has also launched a program to collect old books and studying items for needy students in HCMC and neighboring cities and provinces. This campaign will last until the end of May 17, 2019.
The program will be officially held on May 25 in Dam Sen Cultural Park.
