An exhibition named “Vietnam's historic road of 70 years” which opened at the National Library of Vietnam in Hanoi on August 25 to mark the upcoming National Day (September 2).
Nearly 1, 500 books, magazines, newspapers, photos and documentations displayed in the exhibition were selected from two million documentations at Vietnam National Library, the Center for National Archives and Records, Vietnam History Science Association and other agencies.
Most of the documentations illustrated August Revolutionary, National Day, President Ho Chi Minh with national liberation and construction during past 70 years under leadership of Vietnam Communist Party and late President Ho Chi Minh.
It noted that French historian Philip De Viler presented the collection of photos to the Vietnamese government.
The exhibition is considered as a meaningful activity to not only educate young general love for the country, national pride and peace desire but also express deep gratitude to martyrs who laid down for the country's independence and freedom.
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh, Deputy Head of the Vietnamese National Assembly's Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children Le Nhu Tien and Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Training Bui The Duc cut ribbon to open the exhibition.
The exhibition will run until September 6.
