Police searched seven more sites, including companies, warehouses and household businesses in throughout the city’s districts 8, 10, 11, Tan Binh, Binh Tan and Binh Chanh, seizing over 500 carton containers of fake supplements, equipment and hundreds of kilograms of materials to make fake medicines and supplements worth tens of billions of Vietnamese dong.
11 people involving the case was arrested, including ring leaders Nguyen Dinh Lac Thu, deputy director of Asia Pharmacy Company and Le Van Khoi, director of Dong Duoc Viet Pharmaceutical Company.
Initially, competent forces verified that the production facility located in Binh Chanh district had operated more than two years, making fake medications. Monthly, it has circulated over one million medicine averagely such as female hormonal growth, men’s sexual ability, and kid nutritional supplements.
