The library operational since November, 2017 with over 2,000 books and magazines was set up by reporter Mai Song Be, former director of the Radio and Television Station of the southern province of Dong Nai to serve communities.
After two years, the library has served around 2,000 residents of all ages in Thanh Hoi Commune.
Thanks to organizations and individuals’ support, the library has nearly 10,000 books comprising of rare books about history of the southern land, the map showing Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Truong Sa (Spratly) and Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelagos.
The library in coordination with the communist youth union and the elementary school in the commune encouraged small children to read more.
