The city has approved construction for an underground parking lot at Le Van Tam Park in District 1. The Underground Space Development Joint Stock Company will build the lot in build-operate-transfer form.
The city directed the members of the underground parking lot project to finish an outline of the contract with the project owner within 60 days. The Department of Transport and Public Works must check the contract so that the owner can fulfill the paperwork for an investment license.
In addition, relevant state agencies must carry out inspections and make public statements concerning construction plans. The owner must undertake work in such a way that residents can still visit the park while the lot is being constructed.
The project at Le Van Tam Park was submitted to the city in 2004 and approved by the prime minister in April 2005.
