In addition, it has proposed the Ministry of Transport to work with authorized agencies to approve network security level for the airlines' air ticket booking and selling systems.
According to CAAV, the situation of leaking air passenger information occurred since 2013 and continued progressing in 2014 and 2015 at Cam Ranh and Noi Bai airports.
After investigating, airlines have fired some staff members and stopped contracts with some air ticket agents for breaking relevant regulations in passenger information security. Still, the situation has kept occurring for the last past.
In the upcoming time, CAAV will work with police agencies to apply administrative and criminal sanctions to those illegally using or trading passenger information.
