Young Physician Association well finishes mission

Nearly 3.3 million people were provided free-of-charge treatment, medicine and gifts as well as 45,000 preschool and primary teachers were trained first aid, said participants at a press meeting Young Physician Association held yesterday to review its activities for the period 2012-2015.

Nearly 3.3 million people were provided free-of-charge treatment, medicine and gifts as well as 45,000 preschool and primary teachers were trained first aid, said participants at a press meeting Young Physician Association held yesterday to review its activities for the period 2012-2015.

The association also held a festival to teach 202,000 children how to wash their hands properly. 3,271 senior people from low income families were given free eye operation and the association collected 1.3 million blood units.

Especially the program helped patients at 30 hospitals in 5 big cities including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, the central city of Da Nang, the central province of Thua Thien-Hue and the Mekong delta city of Can Tho to share burden of patients and their relatives.

The association will organize its congress on January 6 and 7 in Hanoi with the expected participation of 350 excellent members representing 8,000 members of the association.

On the occasion, the association will honor 30 young physicians who are working in distant villages to provide medical care to them.
