Yen Tu Spring Festival, which is considered as one of the largest annual famous spring festivals in Vietnam, is opened from the tenth day of the first month to the end of the third lunar month attracting Buddhists, pilgrims, local people and tourists across the country.
They gathered here to offer incense to the Buddha and pray for prosperity and luck.
Ranges of new activities and folk games such as cock-fighting, tugging war, chess championship, traditional art performances at Yen Tu pilgrimage village, dragon and lion dances, traditional martial arts, display of ornamental plants and Yen Tu yellow apricot flowers ...are expected to take place in this year’s festival.
In previous days, around 150,000 arrivals, Buddhists and pilgrims made a pilgrimage to Uong Bi city, the north-eastern coastal province of Vietnam, an increase of 25 percent in comparison to last year.
