Custom officials arrested a Vietnamese woman, returning to Vietnam from Doha on July 18, while attempting to smuggle in drugs at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.
At 8pm on July 18, the airport custom officials uncovered a black nylon bag amongst the luggage of 20-year-old Tran Ha Tien, a Vietnamese citizen. The bag contained 4.1 kilograms of drugs.
According to the Criminal Science Institute, the substance in the nylon bag was methamphetamine, a strong addictive drug.
The airport customs have handed over the offender and the drug bag to the narcotics division under Ministry of Public Security for further investigation.
