VWS hands over 6 garbage trucks to HCMC, Long An, Kien Giang

Vietnam Waste Solutions, Inc. (VWS) handed over 6 Peterbilt’s garbage trucks to the People’s Committees of HCM City, Kien Giang and Long An provinces on November 8.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Consul General at the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, Mary Tarnowka said that VWS is regarded as one of the typical examples of American businesses that are investing effectively in Vietnam.
Garbage trucks are meaningful gifts in improving garbage collection efficiency and effectiveness in localities.
Texas-based Peterbilt would be the first major U.S. truck maker to market an all-electric trash truck.
The Peterbilt trash truck weighs 10 tons using Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). The truck is equipped with two compartment sewage tanks, camera system, spray nozzles to remove odors around the truck. A trash truck costs US$420,000.
VWS is a specialists in design, construction and operating waste management facilities in Vitenam. The business is the owner and operator of Da Phuoc Integrated Waste Management Facility in Da Phuoc Commune, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam with a capacity to manage all Ho Chi Minh City waste; and owner and operator of Long An Green Technology Park in Thu Thua District, Long An Province with future capacity to manage all wastes from Mekong delta, Long An Province and Ho Chi Minh City.
