Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Company (VSIP JV) celebrated a ground breaking ceremony for project of VSIP Nghe An Integrated Township and Industrial Park at Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An on September 16.

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Minister for Trade and Industry of the Republic of Singapore Lim Hng Kiang, leaders of ministries, agencies of Vietnam and Singapore, and crowded local people in Nghe An province attended in the ground breaking ceremony.
VSIP Nghe An Integrated Township and Industrial Park is the seventh project of Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Company after investment projects at Binh Duong province, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Quang Ngai and Hai Duong which were co-invested by Vietnam's Becamex Industrial Development Corporation and Sembcorp Development Ltd company.
VSIP Nghe An Integrated Township and Industrial Park covers 750 hectares with total investment capital up to US$ 76, 4 million, including two phases.
Until now, total investment capital for VSIP’s projects up to US$ 7, 9 billion was granted by 593 Vietnam and foreign companies, aiming to create 160, 000 jobs in Vietnam.
At the ceremony, Sembcorp Development Company and Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Company pledged to invest US$ 100, 000 to develop Sembcorp-VSIP water purification project for Nghe An province.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung thanked to the Singaporean Government and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong for creating favorable conditions for Sembcorp Group as well as other investors to invest in Vietnam.
Almost 2 decades since Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park in Binh Duong province was established in 1996, six one after another VSIPs have been expanding nationwide with synchronized and modern infrastructure and green environment which have attracted investors rapidly.
VSIP Nghe An Integrated Township and Industrial Park contributes not only to the social-economic development of Nghe An, the region and the country in particular but also to strengthen strategic partnership relations between Vietnam and Singapore in general.
