At the meeting, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc hoped that functional agencies of Vietnam and Egypt would continue strengthening mutual collaboration in adopting pledges between the countries’ leaders, aiming to early reach two-way trade turnover up to US$ 1 billion.
Additionally, he desired that both sides need to promote mutual cargo exchange in the potential products as tea, seafood, rice, cashew nuts, coffee, pepper, textiles and rubber of Vietnam and petrochemical products, chemicals, cotton, processed food of Egypt.
PM Phuc suggested Egypt would early approve an agreement on mutual tariff avoidance signed by both sides in 2006; create condition for PetroVietnam (PVN) to seek investment chances in the fields of oil and gas.
Vietnam desired to cooperate further with the partner in defense, agriculture, culture, tourism, logistics, and education & training, added the Vietnamese leader.
The Egyptian president affirmed that his country highly appreciated experiences of Vietnam in development of industrial parks, fishery and processed seafood sectors.
On the same day, NA chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan held a talk with the Egyptian president.
The NA Chairwoman said Vietnam National Assembly will strengthen development of diplomatic parliamentary ties and cooperation relationship with Egypt in investment, culture and tourism.
President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi said that the two countries have many conditions and opportunities to develop further the relationships. In the upcoming time, Vietnam and Egypt will continue support each other, and hold exchange programs between the nations’ senior delegations.
