VND 270bln for installing 19 surveillance cameras at highway 51

The Ba Ria Vung Tau People’s Committee said the province will install surveillance camera system on the national highway No. 51 stretching from Vung Tau city to Tan Thanh District of Ba Ria Vung Tau province.

The Ba Ria Vung Tau People’s Committee said the province will install surveillance camera system on the national highway No. 51 stretching from Vung Tau city to Tan Thanh District of Ba Ria Vung Tau province.

The 36km highway will be installed 19 surveillance cameras, with a total capital of VND 270billion from the provincial budget.

It aimed to assist authorities with traffic management and treat traffic violences. The cameras will operate 24 hours a day and the images captured by the cameras will be transferred to the provincial police.

The system can observe 6 lanes allowing vehicles to travel at 80km per hour. The police department expects the cameras can help police be able to solve quickly the drivers violating traffic laws.
