Vietnamese women caught for prostitution racket in Malaysia

On October 14, the Criminal Investigation Police for Social Order in the southern province of Dong Nai took into custody Nguyen Thi Kim Trang from Buu Hoa Ward of Bien Hoa City , for questioning in an investigation of sending Vietnamese women to Malaysia to work as prostitutes.

The Criminal Investigation Police had already caught 35-year-old Trang red-handed while she was receiving VND4 million from a girl named ‘H’, with the promise of sending her to Malaysia to work as a prostitute. Trang was caught at a café on Cach Mang Thang Tam road in Quyet Thang Ward of Bien Hoa City .

At the police station, Trang pleaded that she had just received money from women with the aim of helping them find jobs in Malaysia, as she had already worked there previously and knew many employers.

However, with collected evidence, the police found that Trang had recently lured women to Malaysia to work as prostitutes, and had demanded VND15million as her commission from each woman.
