The Ministry of Education and Training yesterday announced the results. Five students including twelve-grader Nguyen Hy Hoai Lam from the school for gifted students in the Central Province of Thua Thien –Hue, twelve-grader Pham Cao Nguyen from the University of Natural Science’s school for gifted students in Hanoi, twelve-grader Nguyen Dinh Dai from the school for gifted students in the central province of Ha Tinh, Phan Minh Hoang from the Viet Nam National University’s school for gifted students in Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Diep Xuan Quang from the school for gifted students in the Mekong delta City of Can Tho captured silver medals.
11-grader Nguyen Khan from the University of Natural Science’s school for gifted students in Hanoi won a bronze medal.
This year’s competition drew 529 students from 30 countries and territories worldwide who competed at their online tests. Sixteen Vietnamese students entered online contest in the University of Engineering and Technology on May 13 and six of them with highest marks joined the next round.
In the final round, 164 students of 30 nations and territories competed each other. At last, 85 students won the awards. Six Vietnamese students all bagged the prizes.
