Vietnamese students win at Int’l Physics Olympiad

Vietnamese students won gold, silver and bronze medals at the International Physics Olympiad, held in Estonia from July 16-24.

Among the winners were Ngo Phi Long, an eleventh-grade student of Son La High School in the northern mountainous province of Son La, and Dinh Ngoc Hai, a twelfth-grade student of Bien Hoa High School in Ha Nam Province.

The silver medal went to Le Huy Quang, a twelfth-grade student of Lam Son High School in Thanh Hoa Province.

Dinh Viet Thang and Bui Xuan Hien, students of Le Hong Phong High School in Nam Dinh Province won bronze medals.

The 43rd International Physics Olympiad was held from July 16-24 in Estonia. The competition attracted nearly 300 participants from 88 countries and territories across the world.
 
The International Physics Olympiad is one of the oldest and biggest science competitions in the world. The first Olympiad took place in 1967.
