Vietnam, Ukraine enhance Party cooperation

Relations between the Communist Parties of Vietnam and the Ukraine are expected to be boosted in order to strengthen and develop the traditional friendship between the two Parties and countries.

First Secretary of the Communist Party of Ukraine P. Simonenko made the statement at a meeting with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong in Hanoi on Oct. 10.

Party General Secretary Trong welcomed the current visit to Vietnam by Simonenko, describing it a strong manifestation of the traditional friendship and all-round cooperation between the two countries.

The Communist Party of Vietnam always attaches importance to developing traditional friendship with the Communist Party of Ukraine, he affirmed.

He said he believed in the further development in the two parties’ relations, contributing to promoting the traditional friendship and comprehensive partnership between the two countries.

He highly valued results of cooperation of the Communist Party of Ukraine in recent years and said the Party under the leadership of First Secretary Simonenko would develop and strengthen its role and position in the Ukrainian political arena, contributing to building a Ukraine of modernity and development.

Also the same day, First Secretary Simonenko and his entourage were received by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and held talks with Hoang Binh Quan, member of the Party Central Committee and Head of its Commission for External Relations.

During its visit to Vietnam, the delegation of the Communist Party of Ukraine will visit several economic establishments and work with the Party Committees of Quang Ninh, Binh Duong provinces and Ho Chi Minh City./
