The three day first Vietnam Forest Product Festival 2011 closed on March 28 with a record crowd of more than 100,000 visitors.
At the closing ceremony, the management board received five Vietnam Guinness records for four wood products and one for organizing the biggest wood and forest product event.
The People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province awarded credits to 97 teams and 13 individuals for their contribution in the festival.
According to the management board, the festival turnover was estimated at over VND50 billion, where 30 contracts and 10 MOUs (Memorandum of Understanding) on cooperation in afforestration, wood processing and forest product export and domestic consumption were signed.
