At the meeting with the Chinese leader, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc appreciated the friendly relationship and cooperation between the two ministries during the past 70 years, especially the recent practical results since the two sides co-signed a number of documents on agricultural trade which brought the great development of the two states’ trade relations over the past time.

He proposed that the partner would support agricultural technician training, continue cooperation and propaganda for fishermen of the two countries to clearly understand and implement a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in releasing and protecting aquatic resources in the Gulf of Tonkin.
In addition, he proposed to strengthen cooperation in handling issues of fish vessels and fishermen, continue to promote the process of negotiating and signing an agreement on the establishment of hotlines for unexpected maritime incidents of fishing activities between the two countries.

However, the country is only the 12th largest coffee import market and the fourth largest tea import market of Vietnam with its turnover of over US$ 109 million and nearly US$ 20 million respectively.
