Two Korean navy ships dock at Cam Ranh International Seaport

Getting permission from the Vietnam Ministry of National Defense, two training vessels of the Republic of Korea Navy docked at Cam Ranh International Seaport in the central province of Khanh Hoa this morning December 7.

According to an announcement by Colonel Uong Xuan Phuc Son, director of Tan Cang-Petro Cam Ranh Limited Company, vessels ROKS Cheon Ji and ROKS Chung Mu Gong Yi Sun Shin carrying 39 officers and 485 sailors led by Rear Admiral Lee Sang Hoon visit Vietnam for four days.
 
The visit aimed to contribute in intensifying the cooperation between the two counties’ armies in general and navy forces in particular and developing the comprehensive cooperation relationship in other fields, said the National Defense Ministry.
 
During the visit, representatives of Korean navy commanders and officers will pay a courtesy visit to leaders of the Khanh Hoa province People’s Committee, meet and exchange with Naval Region 4 High Command and visit Vietnam Naval Academy in Khanh Hoa province.
 
Since coming into operation on March 8, Cam Ranh International Seaport has received tens of battleship, training and ordnance vessels from over ten nations in the world.
