Two arrested for posting video clips showing police sweep of nightclub

Police on December 20 arrested two men for posting on the internet two video clips featuring a massive police raid on the one of the most notorious nightclubs in Hanoi in 2007.

Police on December 20 arrested two men for posting on the internet two video clips featuring a massive police raid on the one of the most notorious nightclubs in Hanoi in 2007.

New Century nightclub was one of the most depraved place in Hanoi that used to hold drug trafficking, call-girl rings at the time.

The names of the two men have not been revealed, but police state they are not newspaper reporters.

Police said that the video clips were meant for investigation purposes only and posting them on the internet is illegal and they are not to be publicized.

The two men confessed that they copied and edited the video clips, before posting them on ‘You Tube’ on December 15.

Two film clips last 22 minutes and show hundreds of police officers storming into the New Century nightclub in Trang Thi Street on April 28, 2007. This cause extreme chaos among some 1,000 guests.  During the raid, more than 100 ecstasy tablets were seized.
