Thousands of pilgrims visit President Ho Chi Minh’s homeland

Thousands of pilgrims chose Sen Village in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district in Nghe An province as an attractive destination during the national holidays, reported by Director of Kim Lien relic area Nguyen Ba Hoe on May 4.

Sen Village becomes nowadays well known destination, this is place, where late President Ho Chi Minh was born and spent his childhood.

Nearly 40,000 people across the country visited President’s homeland with aiming to express deeply their gratitude to talent leader of nation.

More than 1,100 local delegations and eight international delegations toured also to three major places, including Sen village (birthplace of mother of President), Hoang Tru village (birthplace of father of President) and Dong Tranh Mountain.

Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province Nguyen Huu Thang said that over three thousands of tourists booked tour for visit to landscapes, battleground in Quang Tri province.

Initial statistics showed that Quang Tri Citadel, Vinh Moc Tunnel have welcomed around 6,000 tourists each day. Cua Viet and Cua Tung beach also were two attractive destinations for local and international tourists during the national holidays.

Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province said that the province has welcomed more than 100,000 tourists from April 29 to May 4, an increase of twenty percent, compared to the same period last year. Of these are 25,000 foreign tourists and over 75,000 domestic tourists.

Ancient capital of Hue welcomed more than 82,000 local and foreign tourists during national holidays, said department.
