According to Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper, the dying plant of the company has kept discharging untreated wastewater directly into Da Den Lake for the last seven years. The lake supplies household water to 90 percent of population in the province.

Authorized agencies have many times reminded the company of the illegal discharge, issued fines and sealed off the plant for six times. However it has continued operation and release of untreated wastewater into the lake.

On May 10, an interagency inspectorate continued sealing off the dyeing plant for many environmental violations in accordance with a penalty decision by the Vietnam Environment Administration.
