Ho Chi Minh City has been leading in attracting investment. However, human resource cannot meet job requirement as investors need more skilled workers.
Recently, management boards in industrial parks signed agreements with universities in training labor force for enterprises in industrial parks and export processing zones.
Vice director of a company Giang Ngoc Phuong in Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park said that enterprises are looking for high quality human resource to meet the current demand. High skilled labor forces is therefore one of attractive factors to call investment.
Experts asserted that cheap labor force is not an advantage. It is alarming that labor productivity of Vietnamese laborers is lower than other countries in the region. Accordingly, management boards of industrial parks have to sign agreement with universities to train work force.
A paradox that graduates are unemployed while enterprises are in need of laborers arose as a consequence. Accordingly, the urgent matter is improving education to have skillful laborers.
