State employees to get nine days off for Tet Lunar New Year

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Monday approved the proposal submitted by Dinh La Thang, Minister of Transport, for extending the Lunar New Year Tet holidays for nine days.

Accordingly, State employees and workers will have nine days off from January 28 to February 5. However, they will have to work on January 25 and February 8 to compensate for two off days on February 4 and 5.

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs will announce a detailed schedule within the next few days.
