Customs officers at Ho Chi Minh City-based Tan Son Nhat Airport November 17 announced to catch a Russian-national man hiding 6.42 kg of drug in his luggage.
The 25 year old Russian man travelled many countries from the South America into Vietnam through Tan Son Nhat Airport. He has hidden 6 bags of drug weighing 6.42 kg into his backpack, blanket, sleeping bags and jacket. He has trafficked the amount of drug bags by that way through many countries until he was arrested in the Southeast Asian nation.
In related news, on the same day, border guards in a border gate in the mountainous northern province of Lang Son’s Cao Loc District arrested two men who were transporting one bag that has 10 plastic nylon smaller bags each weighing 10 kg.
Each plastic bag contains white substance suspected to be mixed stone drugs smuggled from China into Vietnam.
Through questioning, two traffickers 33 year old Be Thi Niem, an inhabitant in Trieu Au Commune in the mountainous northern province of Cao Bang’s Phuc Hoa District and 39 year old Hoang Van Phong in Co Luong Village, admitted that the substance is mixed stone drug which they bought in China and brought into Vietnam to sell for profit.
