State President Truong Tan Sang had a meeting with the Republic of Korea (RoK)'s National Assembly Chung Ui-Hwa in Presidential Palace on March 19, on the occasion of his official friendly visit to Vietnam.
At the meeting, President Truong Tan Sang affirmed that the cooperative relation between Vietnam and RoK has been strengthened further after 22 years of establishing the diplomatic relation between the two countries. In previous years, two countries always have supported each other through the regional and international forums.
Moreover, RoK is considered as one of leading investors in Vietnam in the fields of trade, tourist, employment as well as top partner in policy of official development assistance (ODA) in Vietnam, stressed the Vietnamese president.
President Sang noted that delegates of RoK Parliamentary will have effective contributions to the 132rd Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly (IPU-132) in Hanoi in the end of this month.
Chairman Chung Ui-Hwa appreciated highly projects of Korean investors in Vietnam like Samsung and LG; saying that, over 4, 000 Korean enterprises have invested into Vietnam market and they hope that Vietnam will continue to create favorable conditions, preferential tax policies and administrative reforms to Korean businessmen in the upcoming time, added the chairman.
