Phan Than Quang, 37, in Da Nang City caught a rare wildcat on February 23.
The animal was caught and handed over to the Forest Management Department after it was found attacking Quang’s chickens. The department will handle releasing the animal back into the wild.
The cat weighs one kilogram belongs to Group 1B of protected endangered wild animals in Vietnam, according to the department.
