As per the plan, teachers will get discount of 10 percent of train fare if they buy tickets from November 2 to 30 while active and retired military personnel will enjoy the same discount if they buy tickets from December 1 to 26.
Additionally, as per an agreement with the Vietnam Labor Union, the railway company also offer discount for member of unions. Specifically, groups of ten to 39 people will enjoy 5 percent for person ticket and 7 percent and groups of 40 people up will enjoy 10 percent discount.
To receive the discount, active military, veterans and their families should present their personal document and military I.D. at checkout and request the discount.
