The annual “Prudential-Good Essay, Good Writing” contest 2011 came to an end in the Mekong Delta, with awards given to winners at the regional-level.

18 students scored the highest marks from a total 84 contestants from 13 cities and provinces of the Mekong Delta. The regional-level competition was held in Dong Thap Province on December 3.
Vo Ngoc Nhu Ha from Vinh Binh secondary school in Tien Giang Province won the first prize in the 6th and 7th grade category.
Duong Diem Thi of Ho Thi Ky junior high school in Ca Mau Province got second place.
Nguyen Ngoc Tuong Vy of Luong Hoa Lac secondary school in Tien Giang Province and Nguyen Ngoc Gia Khanh of Le Quy Don junior high school in Hau Giang Province took third positions.
Nguyen Phan Que Lam and Pham Hoang Nhu Ngoc of Le Ngoc Han secondary school in Tien Giang Province won the first and second prizes in the 8th and 9th grade category, respectively.
The third prizes went to Le Hoai Bao Ngan of Vinh Binh secondary school in Tien Giang Province and Tong Tuan Thinh of Luu Van Lang junior high school in Dong Thap Province.
The Mekong Delta “Prudential-Good Essay, Good Writing” contest has attracted more and more students every year. The competition aims to encourage literature, reading and good essay writing amongst students, encouraging them to bring out their sensitivity and creativity of expression, said Ms. Tran Thi Thai, deputy chairwomen of Dong Thap People’s Committee.
“Prudential-Good Essay, Good Writing” Contest is co-organized each year by Life Insurer Prudential Vietnam and Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper.
