Many lawyers commented that there were signals of bribes in the cases of score fraud in the national high school graduation examination last year. In particular, various test results were illegally changed to increase the scores to more than 27 points no matter what the real ones were. What is noticeable is that parents of all test-takers whose results were altered are senior state officers, which leads to more suspicion of a bribe.
Therefore, the Prime Minister issue such a demand so that a timely lawsuit could be fined, followed by harsh discipline in accordance with the law, and a detailed report to the PM by May 25.
Until now, police and armed force academies have expelled 60 students from Son La and Hoa Binh provinces who were related to the exam fraud last year, 53 of whom were learning at various police academies. Other universities like the Hanoi Medical University, the Hanoi University of Education, the University of Foreign Trade are following the suit.
Statistics show that among the 222 test-takers with cheated scores last year, many are children of state officers in the educational field.
Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha confirmed that it was unacceptable for such educational officials to continue working in the field since that is a severe violence of not only the national law but also the code of ethics of all educators.
Any students found involving in this cheating as concluded by investigators will be expelled from learning, said Minister Nha.
